WHAT IS AYSO?
First, AYSO is a child development program. The AYSO philosophy is for the kids to have fun and feel good about themselves. As coaches, keep this number one in your mind. You want the kids on your team to feel good, as well as the kids on the other team.
Second, AYSO is an enrichment program. As a coach, you are a teacher of fundamental soccer skills, techniques.

Congratulations to our EXTRA BU11 and EXTRA BU13 teams on their winning the State Championships this last weekend in Cathedral City California.
We also want to congratulate our Extra GU12 team for finishing second and our Extra GU10 team on finishing third at State Championships. Along with the success of our other teams, we can say our Region 68 had the most successful season of all 25 Regions participating in EXTRA in Section 10 this past year.
David French is stepping up as the Region Extra Program Coordinator (REPC) for 2012.

Region 68 is located in Camarillo, California and is part of Area W, Section 10. Our Region has more than 300 teams with over 2,500 boys and girls ages 5 to 18 participating in our fall and spring leagues. Our fall season runs from early August to mid-November. League Champions and All-Star teams participate in Area & Section playoffs from December through early March. Our spring season is conducted in March and April. Our tournament teams participate in tournaments throughout Southern California from March through early June, highlighted by the California Strawberry Cup hosted by Region 68 in mid-May.
