AYSO requires all coaches and assistant coaches to do the following four (4) things:
1. Fill out a volunteer form. Please do that on-line at eayso.org , print out two (2) copies and take them to an orientation meeting or training session.
2. Take the Safe Haven online class. One time requirement if you continue to volunteer. You will learn about your responsibilities and liabilities.
Also, U8 and U10 coach training is available online at aysotraining.org
3. Attend a coach or assistant coach orientation session. This is mandatory. You will learn your duties as a coach and get a lot of info about how the region works and who to contact when you need help, skills and which skills are appropriate for the age children you'll be coaching.
4. Attend an age specific coach training session. You will learn how to teach soccer.
